As a carving sculpture passionate, I am happy to exhibit samples from my sculptures.
In most of my time I usually work on one of my unfinished sculptures.
Sanatım Hakkında
Dağlardan, deniz kenarlarından topladığım doğal ağaç parçalarının özgün biçimlerinden yola çıkarak yontu heykeller yapıyorum. Düzgün bir kütleyi yontmaktansa, ağacın doğasında saklı özgün formu ortaya çıkarmak daha çok hoşuma gidiyor. Hem bu, Rodin'e sorulan "nasıl heykel yapıyorsun" sorusuna verdiği ünlü yanıta daha uygun düşüyor: "Kütlenin fazlalıklarını atıyorum, geriye heykel kalıyor."
Eserlerimi doğanın bana verdiği esinle oluşturuyorum. Orada, bakmayı ve görmeyi bilen bir insan çok şey bulabilir. Benimkisi bir anlamda, doğayla girişilmiş bir işbirliği sayılabilir. Bu çok daha coşkulu, keyifli ve ortaya çıkan sonuç açısından da şaşırtıcı oluyor. Doğaya saygı ve müdahale üzerine kurulmuş bir bütünlük...
Tüm eserlerimde insana yönelik bir övgü vardır. Evrenin en mükemmel iki şeyinden biri olan insana... İnsanın enerjisi, yenilenmeye ve yenilemeye, iyi şeyler yapmaya yatkın gücü ve estetiği ana konum. Yıldızlar ve insan başı... İşte sanata bakışımın ve çalışmalarımın özü budur.
About my art
I make carving sculptures from natural woods which I collect from mountains, sea shores. It gives me pleasure to uncover the hidden form in nature of wood instead of carving a wood block. Also, I think, it is appropriate to the famous answer of Rodin, to the question: "How do you do your sculpture?" He answers: "I throw away the excesses of mass, the statue remains."
I make my works with inspiration nature gives me. There, a person who knows to look and see, can find a lot. In a sense, mine can be considered a collaborative effort with nature. This is much more enthusiastic, pleasant and surprising in terms of the result. Many times the result of work surprises me too. An integrity based on respect for nature and intervention ...
In all my works, there is a praise for humanity. One of the two greatest things in the universe is human being ... The energy of man is the main power and aesthetic prime to renovate and renew, to do good things. The stars and the human head... Here is the essence of my artwork.
